AnApocryphalBiography

As an honest tax-payer, Foxaque was obliged to sign up to the Great War in Nineteen Hundred & Sixteen, becoming a commissioned officer. It is uncertain exactly what took place, but Foxaque was involved in some sort of Drinking Accident (possibly an exploding grenade or some such other Ordinance) two days before he was due to lead his Platoon over the top at the Third Battle of Ypres in Nineteen Hundred & Seventeen. He was the only Survivor by default : The others have never been found.
